Gigs :The Unicorn | 15th November 2008
OK, we’re on again, this time at the Unicorn in Trumpington (Church Street). This is a new venue for acoustic acts so we’ll be paring it down a bit. Acoustic stage are putting us on so we’ll have a good sound. For this gig there will just be Rozenn, Richard, and Ashley and we’ll be playing 6 or 7 songs from our set list. Simon is on party duty some place else - shame on him. Ok, we'll be on at about 9:45pm. AcousticStage are once again putting us on.
Man on the Moon | 3rd October 2008
Guys, we’re gigging again (hurray we hear you shout) and this time we have a bass player (more hurrahs etc), a good one to, in Richard Tofts. Check out his biog. We’re the big boys for this gig so we’ll be able to dazzle you with a full set which includes a couple of new songs ‘watch me in my playground’ and ‘Shame’. We’ll be supported by Nice Planet (www.myspace.com/niceplanetwti), an acoustic rock duo, who are also a pretty hairy affair..... The Man on the Moon can be found on Norfolk Street, Cambridge, just down from CB2. Doors open at 7:30. Nice Planet will be first up and then we’ll come on at about 9-9:15. It’s £4 on the door but £4 of pure BraintinglingEarfondlingNervestrokingSpinedrippingToenibbling pleasure and then of course there’s the music...... Be there, we know you’d hate to miss it - A rockier DZ in one of Cambridge’s most down to earth live venues – just can’t be bettered, although a good cheese sandwich might run us close...
The Boathouse | 7th June 2008
The Boathouse beckons ladies and gentlemen. Hey, its Strawberry Fair day to so you can all truck on down to the common and have some fun during the day and then get your arses over to the Boathouse for the evening. It all kicks off at 8pm. The Bakers East Road | 11th May 2008
We're playing at the Bakers for the first time this coming Sunday. We've grabbed a spot at rather short notice so we apologise for not giving you much of a chance to get organised. The AcousticStage are promoting the event so we're grateful to them for the opportunity. It's free, it's a gig so come on down....
CB2 Norfolk Street | 29th January 2008
We're playing CB2's again this time as support for Matoke an Afrobeat band. This gig is in support of the Cambridge Refugee Support Group. It should be an interesting evening so why not come along and enjoy the comfort of the CB2 Cellar. Entrance is £5
Portland Arms| 30th December 2007
We'll be opening up the dark and slightly dusty world of Double Zero to you all at the Ultimate Party gig. Sue and Karen, born on the same day, destined to have their alter egos inhabit the DZ world will be our hosts. The story of their alter egos will be told in music including their participation in a night club competition exposed in the specially written song 'Muffin Top' - Don't miss it.
CB2 Norfolk Street | 25th October 2007
The acoustic band is out for its debut performance supporting Ruby Muse at CB2. We're playing in the Cellar which is a great venue for acoustic and elctro acoustic bands. Doors open at 8pm and there is a £5 charge on the door. Drinks are available in the cellar. Hope you can make it - the acoustic stuff is quite different from our electric but if you've seen us before you'll still recognise the songs.
Shelford Rugby Club | 2nd December 2006
Our next gig is on the 2nd December at Shelford Rugby Club. We are supporting the ‘Pink Rose Party' which is a party to raise money for Addenbrooke's Breast Cancer unit. You can either buy a charity ticket in advance for the dinner, us, and the disco at £15, or buy a ticket on the door (£5) to come and watch us and strut your stuff to the disco - we'll be playing at about 9pm. Although we are not organising the event we can get tickets for you - just mail us at dz@double-zero.co.uk. There will be a bar on all night with an endless supply of beer as cheap as you can get it anywhere in Cambridge. This is a full on gig with stage, lights, and PA and some additional songs added to the Portland Arms set. There will be 100+ people there so come along and join in – it’s going to be good (wear something pink).
Portland Arms | 18th October 2006
Our debut performance as support for DollarSent.... We've already gathered a small army to pack out the venue so don't miss it. You can say 'I was there at the first gig before they [became famous / went off with a bang as big as a mouse blowing bubble gum / hid in shame and all changed their names / drank too much and fell over before it all began]'. (delete as appropriate) See you there ..... |
